SPEAKING YOUR TRUTH
Why do we fear the truth?
When we open Pandora’s box, what monsters will peer back at us with blazing eyes?
It is easier to face the glossy illusion of fabrication
The plastic smiles and painted face
False identities and schemas we have fabricated to make us feel safe
So we can go to bed at night sound of mind
But in our hearts we know we are a fraud
Just like the rest of us
Peace will never be found in delusions of grandeur
Delusions are a construct of a brain that is breaking
And a soul crying for saving
I don’t love myself
I only love the version of myself I created
So hold the flashlight under my face as I forge puppets and caricatures from shaking hands
And pray to the gods that I won’t be found out
What is the way out of the cave?
It is by escaping into sunlight and seeing the truth
Sankhya, the Sanskrit word for examination
We seek truth to gain liberation
And one day, when our hearts become filled with love
We will be fearless to speak our truth
What harm ever comes from singing our hearts loud and proud?
You risk pushing the naysayers away
Those still trapped in the illusion
The fakes and bastards who see only your Instagrammable self
And reject the substance you now project with power
They wince at the blinding light
And retreat back into the darkness and shadows
Chained to the illusion for eternity
