Happy Monday, everyone! Can you believe we have 3 days until Christmas?! I am sure most of you are finishing the last stretch of work… grind hard now, and reap the rewards of rest in the coming days.

Sorry, I am in transition mode from poetry to pose. I just spent the past hour writing Christmas poems for those I love. I have no money to spend on material presents, so I offer my words as a priceless gift to those who’ve supported me through this tumultuous year.

Lol, I’m still in rhyming mode… it’s actually quite fun, to find the right mix of words that strike a chord and hit the page with force.

Maybe this blog post will be long-form poetry. I am not quite ready to get out of the poet’s mentality. I appreciate those reading for riding along with me on this journey. As I sit in my client’s Atherton home, house-sitting for the next six days, trying but failing to coerce Mojo the Cat from under the couch, I am committed to getting clean and keeping my mind and body pristine. This day has been full of phone calls and beautiful conversations with friends old and new. The power of human connection rings loud and true. I am teaching a dance class at 6:30pm, eager to spread joy and cheer to the ladies of Bay Club. For as much happiness they derive from my class, I feel it tenfold. Dance is a healing balm that soothes me out of my woes. There are no words to describe how grateful I am for dance’s continued presence. I will dance till I die, I know that much. I will also write until I run dry… and then I’ll write some more.

This house in Atherton is magnificent. I am lucky to train such wealthy clients. I get a glimpse of my future, or at least the one I envision. Living in Atherton with a bright and successful husband. We will be a power couple, taking on the world with gumption. We will travel together, learn from one another, heal from trauma through our shared love. It’s a future so radiant, I can hardly contain my excitement.

Time to rest before my class. I will talk to you guys later tonight. Prose or poetry, who the hell knows? I write based on feeling, however the words go.

8:54pm

I’m back at the house in Atherton and the spell of poetry has washed out of me. I taught a class at Bay Club at 6:30pm, and it went swimmingly. I wanted to go swimming in this house, but the pool is super cold and I tried to heat it up, but I probably didn’t do it correctly because it’s still chilly as ice. So no swimming today… the rest of the evening is mine for the taking. Gonna relax over a charcuterie board and kombucha, read a book, watch Emily In Paris. Man, staycations are amazing. The change of scenery is refreshing. I just got out of the shower and feel like I’m floating on a pink cloud.

I’ll end today’s post here. Have a great rest of your evening, everyone!
