Dear readers,

I am back from the brink! I started getting a mild headache yesterday before my client, around 3:30pm. On the car ride home from work, the headache progressively got worse. I hadn’t eaten much during the day and certainly did not hydrate properly (bad on me), so I figured eating some protein-rich dinner at Google would help alleviate the pain. To no avail. By the time I made it home, my headache had morphed into a migraine, and I tried drinking electrolyte water and popped 2 Tylenol pills. Nothing was working, and I certainly couldn’t go out bachata dancing, as I normally do every Wednesday night. I still had to wrap up Blogmas Days 9 and 10, but couldn’t sit up because of the pain. That’s why I’ve only just uploaded the past two days’ Blogmas this morning– apologies for the delay.

Happy to report that after 11 hours of solid sleep, my headache is mostly gone, and I ate a protein-rich breakfast of plain greek yogurt and a protein shake with one scoop of creatine. Health is wealth, my friends! I am super motivated to become a better eater, go keto, fill my gut with probiotics and healthy microbiome, and try my hand at intermittent fasting. No more of this skipping meals BS and not drinking enough water. As one of the guests on my podcast stated, in order for her to be mentally well, she must have all of her baseline physical needs taken care of. Proper nutrition and hydration is a MUST, a non-negotiable self-care habit.

Well, I got about 30 minutes to kill before my yoga class at Oracle. I’m gonna force myself to drink the flavor-less protein shake/creatine mix (it’s really bland, no sugar, but healthy). Gonna read some more of that book, Brain Maker. Teach my class, then go to Google for lunch (let’s hope I can resist those tasty carbs). Then training two more clients at the country club from 3:30-5:30pm, then the rest of the night is mine for the taking. Yay for chill(er) days!

Will check back in with y’all later. Have a blessed Thursday!
